We are less than six months out from the debut of Fallout on Amazon's Prime Video streaming service. The new series, from Westworld co-creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy--is a live-action adaptation of the wildly popular Bethesda video game franchise set on a post-nuclear-war America. In the games, the player-character typically emerges from a subterranean vault into the devastated wasteland on a journey that introduces them to a wide array of characters--and the TV series looks no different.
Set in California over 200 years after nuclear war broke out in 2077, Fallout is led by Ella Purnell as Lucy, a girl who grew up in one of the famed vaults, but is now making her way into the outside world for the first time. A series of images from the show have been released by Prime Video, providing quite a bit of place-setting for this new take on Fallout.
Not only do we see glimpses of Lucy's life in the vault, but some of the characters she will encounter on her journey. Most notably, we see Walton Goggins (Justified) as a ghoul--those who didn't have the comfort of a vault to keep them from being exposed to radiation from the fallout. Also on display are elements of the Brotherhood of Steel, the technology-obsessed paramilitary group, known most often for the iconic suits of power armor they wear.
Take a look at all of the images Prime Video has provided below. Fallout premieres April 12 on Amazon Prime Video.
