Everything In Black Myth: Wukong's Physical Edition
is finally getting a physical edition for the PlayStation 5, and anyone who picks up a copy for their shelf will get a few bonuses compared to the standard digital version. Although the game is one of the biggest hits of 2024 in sales and overall reception, wasn't originally available on disc, forcing anyone interested in playing it to get a copy from the PlayStation Store, Steam, or the Epic Games Store. It's nice to see that rectified, even if it's coming a little late.
Double-dipping on a physical copy after getting the digital release might only be worth it for die-hard fans, but this could be a nice way to get the game for those who haven't yet pulled the trigger. It's not a special edition, so there's no statue of the Destined One or any comparable physical goodies to be found. It's not without its perks, however. 's physical edition comes with a Deluxe Edition voucher, which unlocks a number of digital rewards when redeemed.
The contents of 's Deluxe Edition voucher shouldn't surprise anyone already familiar with the upgraded digital version. Several in-game items can provide useful early game boosts, while a digital soundtrack makes listening to some of the game's music more convenient.
offers some intense challenges within the first chapter, making it a rare example of a game where getting an edge at the start can actually be meaningful. These bonuses are also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition, which costs $69.99, or available separately for $9.99. At an MSRP of $64.99, the physical edition provides a slight discount on the overall package.
Although the physical edition can already be pre-ordered at some retailers, it doesn't yet have a release date. PM Studios, the company handling the physical release, has simply promised that it will be available from retailers and the PM Studios store "." Anyone particularly anxious to play may not want to gamble on how long that could take, but it doesn't sound like it will be a terrible wait.
