The next major EverQuest II update, Shattered Overture, has made it into beta testing. Darkpaw Games has also announced some special bonuses for Labor Day Weekend and new crates to obtain.
Shattered Overture is Game Update 123, first announced back in the July Producer’s Letter. As far as the premise, the official description gives us some hints at what’s to come:

The update will be out later this month, and the test also includes 15 new collections, seven new missions, and a series of new achievements.
The two new solo dungeons are Shattered Unrest and Imprinted Memory: Origins of the Felfeather. The new Heroic Dungeons are Shattered Unrest (Heroic I, II, and III) and Imprinted Memory: Origins of the Felfeather (Heroic).
The update consists of level 125 content, and you’ll need Renewal of Ro to play. If you want to Help the team to polish up the content before it releases, open the launcher and change version to Beta.
