Microsoft has revealed the titles they’ll be adding to Xbox Game Pass on PC and consoles in early September, and while it isn’t a terribly long list, it more than delivers on quality. Subscribers can look forward to the biggest Xbox exclusive in years in Starfield, the new stylish Soulslike Lies of P, classic indie platformer Gris, and more.
Here are your headliner Xbox Game Pass titles for the next few weeks…
Starfield (PC and Xbox Series X|S) – September 6
From Wccftech’s review – “With an engaging story, well-developed characters and lore, and a huge amount of meaningful content, Starfield is one of Bethesda's finest games and one of the best role-playing games released in the past few years. The lack of seamless exploration and real innovation of the typical gameplay formula from the studio are noteworthy, but those willing to forego these issues will find a reactive and sprawling sci-fi universe to lose themselves in for hundreds, if not thousands, of hours.”
Lies of P (PC and console) – September 19
From Wccftech’s September games preview – “If you had asked people a few years ago, I doubt any of them would have predicted we’d one day get a hardcore Soulslike based on Pinocchio, and yet, here we are. Coming to us from Korean developer Neowiz Games, Lies of P looks like one of the most stylish Dark Souls wannabees to come along in a while.”
These games will also be available in early September:
In addition to the new Game Pass goodies, Microsoft is also rolling out a new Xbox firmware update. Additions include the ability to stream directly to Discord, a new Rewards tab for tracking stuff you earn, voice reporting that allows you to submit 60-second clips to moderators, and new VRR options.
