Elgacia is Opening in Lost Ark Next Week, With New Story, an Abyssal Dungeon, and More Fortunespire

The gates of Elgacia are getting ready to open in Lost Ark. The June update will bring the new continent and a new storyline, an Abyssal Dungeon, and more.

The new update will be out  on June 14th, and the Lost Ark team will be releasing more info to preview the content as we get closer. What we do know now is that Chaos Gates are opening up all over the world, strengthening Legion Commanders, and the Demon invasion is starting over in South Vern. Sounds ominous, sure, but Elgacia, land of  Lazeniths, will be opening up, and Kadan and Nineveh will lead you there. But only you have an item level of 1460. That is the requirement to step into Elgacia,  which is one reason why the team is announcing the update details and date now, helping alert those who need to raise their item level if they haven't already.

Once you get there, you’ll “explore Ereonnor, the city of light built in reverence to the Gods, the blessed Hestera Garden, and the sacred Mount Phylantos in the continent of Elgacia as you uncover the secrets of the Lazeniths”. Completing the new storyline will let you progress, but even if you have the minimum item level of 1460 to explore the new terrain, you will want to keep raising it in order to take advantage of some of the other new content on the way.

A four-player Abyssal Dungeon will arrive in the update. Kayangel, Light’s Sanctuary, is the new dungeon, and will be available in two difficulties, Normal and Hard. There are four gates in the dungeon, so you'll be able to save your progress as you go through it. Normal mode requires item level 1540 and Hard mode will require level 1580. With higher difficulty comes additional rewards, and one will be the ability to upgrade Ancient Legion Raid gear set
