Understand Your Mount SkillbarKnowing what your Mount is capable of is more than half the battle — it's the whole war. If you understand what your Mount can do, you'll be able to use it; otherwise, you're ignoring core functionality of the system. When Mounting up (default hotkey Z), your Skill Bar changes from your normal abilities to a special Mounted Skill Bar with three distinct sections:
1 — Mount Fear: This bar showcases your Mount's Fear levels. If your mount becomes too afraid, it will buck you off, leaving you with a 30 second cooldown before you can summon your Mount again. Fear levels are raised by staying close to enemies for too long a time. 2 — Spur Charges: In order to obtain a boost of speed, the Spur ability can be used at the cost of one charge. You can regenerate one charge every 8 seconds. 3 — Mount Abilities: While on your Mount, you gain access to three new abilities — Spur, which briefly makes your mount move faster, a Dismount ability, which varies by class and deals damage to enemies upon leaping from your Mount, and Dismount, which allows you to jump off your Mount.
