It has been raining electric scooters lately but not so for the electric motorcycles. Revolt has been manufacturing its EV bikes and to join the group, Pune based startup Evtric Motors has launched its first electric motorcycle in India. It is called the Evtric Rise and is essentially premium electric motorcycle. The motorcycle relies on an electric powertrain but looks like a conventional petrol-powered motorcycle. Evrtric will be selling the EV bike in 22 cities across the country.
The Evtric Rise carries a premium price tag of Rs. 1,59,000 ex-showroom, excluding the subsidies and on-road charges. The motorcycle is available in red and black colour options. You can book the Rise with a booking amount of Rs. 5000. Note that Evtric also has three electric scooters on sale in India, namely the Evtric Axis, Evtric Ride and Evtric Mighty.

The Evtric Rise is a premium electric motorcycle that relies on a 2kW BLDC motor driving the rear wheel. The motorcycle relies on a 70v/40ah battery that is capable of offering a maximum range of 110Km on a single charge. The vehicle can go up to a top speed of 70 Kph, which is not a lot. In fact, this is a much lower top speed than the Ola S1 Pro, which can go above speeds of 100 kph easily.
The battery takes about 4 hours to recharge via a 10A charger and Evtric has introduced an auto-cut feature to allow the bike to charge safely. The EV gets a sporty design with LED front light and even gets DRLs, which is a safety feature.
In comparison, the Revolt RV400 starts at Rs. 98,485 for the base variant and offers a range of up to 150 Kms, with a top speed rated at 85 kph.
