Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 launches in India after months of wait and it is here as a midrange laptop. The first generation Surface Go was pricey when launched in 2021 and Microsoft brings it here with adjusted prices to enhance its appeal. Being the Surface Laptop Go 2, the laptop comes with the older 11th Generation Intel processors, and the design remains largely unchanged as well. The laptop will be sold via Reliance Digital and Amazon India alongside Microsoft authorized resellers.
The Surface Laptop Go 2 comes in only two variants for consumers, starting at a price of Rs. 73,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. There’s a higher variant with 256GB storage that will come at a price of Rs. 80,999. The laptops only comes in a single colour variant in India.
The Surface Laptop Go 2 weighs only 1.12 kg, which is fairly lightweight for a compact laptop. All models of the Laptop Go 2 come with a quad-core 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor as standard. The consumer version only comes with 8GB RAM whereas the Enterprise edition comes with up to 16GB RAM. Customers can choose between 128GB and 256GB storage.
When it comes to the display, the Surface Laptop Go 2 features a 12.4-inch PixelSense display with an aspect ratio of 3:2, touchscreen input, an HD webcam, and a set of dual studio microphones. The laptop supports features like Instant On and Windows Hello, which allows for a quick boot up.
Microsoft also says that the Surface Laptop Go 2 keyboard offers 30% more key travel than the MacBook Air and is complemented by the large precision trackpad.
