Panasonic has unveiled its first 14-inch fully rugged modular laptop in India. The Panasonic TOUGHBOOK 40 laptop comes with improved screen brightness and a color-selectable backlit keyboard for easier viewing in low-light environments. A major highlight of the device is its 60 per cent larger touchpad which is usable even in the rain or while wearing gloves. Talking about the same Vijay Wadhawan, Director, System Solutions Division, Panasonic India said, "We are focused on supporting our customers who work in the most extreme environments, and the new TOUGHBOOK 40 provides them with the perfect balance of performance, modularity, durability and innovation."

TOUGHBOOK 40 comes with a 5MP webcam, an easier to install SIM which doesn’t require a screwdriver, four programmable buttons & keys, color-selectable backlit keyboard, backlit power button, Gen2 resistive touchpad that is easier to move and much more. The company claimed that the device features IP66 resistance to dust and water, meeting military standards for temperature, humidity and vibration, and is 26-side drop tested from 180cm. The Toughbook 40 offers a 1200 nit 14-inch FHD touchscreen display. Further, it is powered by the 11th Gen i5 and i7 Intel vPro processors with optional AMD-dedicated graphics or Intel Iris Xe graphics.
