A new LEGO set based on James Cameron's Avatar lets Jake Sully (played by Sam Worthington in the 2009 hit film) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) soar above a plastic Pandora on blocky Banshees. The sci-fi epic introduced viewers to the florescent alien world of Pandora and its fascinating inhabitants, the indigenous Na'vi. Earlier this year an Avatar Tree of Souls LEGO set was revealed, complete with the massive flying leonopteryx, and now a new set will let fans build the iconic soaring Banshee.
James Cameron's Avatar brought the breathtaking world of Pandora to life, successfully immersing viewers in a land both otherworldly and intimately familiar. The theme of colonization lies at the center of the film's plot, which sees space marine Jake Sully attempt to integrate into Na'vi culture as part of a ploy to steal land from the indigenous people. Following the wild success of Avatar James Cameron revealed plans for four sequels, though the need for advanced special effects technology delayed the series' development for a decade. Avatar: The Way of Water production is now progressing smoothly, however, with the franchise's second entry set to finally release on December 16.
