Oppo is readying the Reno 8 series smartphones for India launch on July 18. However, ahead of the launch event, Oppo also announced that we would be getting the Oppo Pad Air tablet and Oppo Enco X2 in India as well. The Pad Air will be the first tablet from Oppo in India whereas the Enco X2 is a successor to the Enco X earbuds from 2021. Oppo is yet to announce the prices for these devices but it has revealed the core specifications and features of both the products.
The Oppo Pad Air and Enco X2 will join the Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro for the July 18 launch event. The Reno 8 Pro is bringing the MariSilicon X NPU chip to India for the first time and Oppo says it will help with low light video recording. The Pro variant also gets a 120Hz refresh rate display and the more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max chipset.
Oppo says that the Pad Air tablet gets a ‘6nm' octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset that should offer good battery life and decent performance. The Oppo Pad Air features an ultra-thin body, Sunset Dune 3D texture, and proprietary Oppo Glow to provide a fingerprint-proof, scratch-free cover. It also gets the TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light eye comfort certification.
The tablet will run on ColorOS 12 for Pad which supports Multi-Device Connection, two-finger split-screen to view multiple apps at the same time, Dual windows that lets users to independently display two levels of pages of the same app on the same screen and four-finger floating window for a user-friendly reading experience. It also allows you to switch from your Oppo phone’s display to its larger screen. It also supports functions such as file drag-and-drop and clipboard sharing between the devices. Oppo will also sell a Smart Stylus Pen that supports 4,096
