Netflix’s The Witcher season 2 features the death of the Leshy at the hands of another monster. The Leshy, inspired by Slavic mythology, is a tree-like creature that attacks people with its roots, protecting the forest and killing anything that appears as a threat to nature. After a long duel with Eskel in season 2, episode 2, «Kaer Morhen,» it infects him, making him a mutant and leading to his death.
The Witcher season 2 starts in the aftermath of the battle of Sodden, for control of The Continent, where Yennefer uses the spell of fire to win the war. She goes missing right after, and Cirilla and Geralt assume she’s dead after their unsuccessful search. They then decide to journey to Kaer Morhen to keep Cirilla safe through the winter and enable Geralt to train her to protect herself with the help of some other Witchers.

It looks like an overgrown centipede, with four eyes, spiked arms that flail about as it attacks, and a ram’s horn. The creature’s striking design contributes to why the scene where it battles Geralt and Cirilla is one of the memorable fights in The Witcher season 2.
