Elden Ring mouse software on PC can cause framerate issues, FromSoftware's official support account has confirmed.
This warning comes from the official FromSoftware Player Support account on X (via Dsogaming) following the release of the popular Shadow of the Erdtree expansion last week. If you're experiencing framerate stutters, FromSoftware advises to close the mouse software. "In the PC version, the frame rate may not be stable when playing the game while running a mouse-control related app", the translated post on X reads. "In that case, please try playing the game after stopping the mouse-control related app."
We guess this applies to most background applications when running games, and as such, we highly suggest closing them before running Elden Ring, or any game for that matter.
