Elden Ring has more spells for players to collect and cast than any other FromSoftware game — Dark Souls 3 had 98 Pyromancies, Sorceries, and Miracles, while Elden Ring has a total of 101 Incantations in the game alone. Though Sorceries in Elden Ring are powerful, the very best spells can only be acquired after beating an associated boss.

Rennala's Full Moon, as the name might imply, is tied to the recently-deposed ruler of Raya Lucaria: Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. As a Shardbearer, she is one of the major bosses that stand in the way of accessing Leyndell and the Elden Throne. Though you can skip her Great Rune, defeating her is required to claim her signature ability for yourself.
Rennala's Full Moon is one of the most Intellect-intensive spells in Elden Ring. Requiring 70 Intelligence to cast and two Memory slots, players have to do some careful stat planning from the start of the game to use this when acquired. It's worth it for PvE thanks to its slow cast time, but can still be handy in PvP as an opening attack when there's still some room between duelists.
When cast, the player rises into the air and forms a cocoon-like frosted moon around their person. The spell then slowly moves towards its target before exploding in the air for huge Magic damage in a decent-sized area. It also cancels out spells it comes into contact with and makes the target less resistant to Magic damage, which is most useful when fighting fellow spellcasters.
To get the Rennala's Full Moon Sorcery, head to the Academy of Raya Lucaria in Liurnia (you'll need an Academy Glintstone Key to get through the seal). After getting through the sprawling dungeon you'll arrive at the Grand Library of Raya
