Elden Ring is a rare game that allows players to use almost every spell they see in-game. Fire Monks cast the same Catch Flame Incantation that Prophets start off with, for example, and even Bosses use spells that players can pick up and use for themselves, too.

The Elden Stars Legendary Incantation is one of these Boss spells, one that the final boss of Elden Ring uses during the fight inside the Erdtree. It's not a particularly useful Incantation in PvP, but when paired with a Faith-oriented build and the right follow-up, it's one of the most useful spells in an Incantation-users arsenal for PvE.
Elden Stars is a Legendary Incantation that uses a chunk of FP, takes up two Memory slots, and requires players to have at least 50 points in Faith. By the late point in Elden Ring that Elden Stars can be picked up that's not too much of an ask, as most players are past Level 100 by this point. Unless you went head-first into a Faith build, though, you'll need a Larval Tear to respec.
When cast, players kneel and raise their arms in a relatively slow animation that takes about 2 agonizing seconds to cast. It's worth the wait, though, when a golden Star rises into the air, moves towards the target, and ceaselessly spews needles of golden light at them on the way. If the spell hits it deals a massive amount of Holy damage, but it's put to best use as a means of maintaining Posture damage on an opponent. Cast this in conjunction with a strong melee setup and you'll practically negate the enemy's ability to regain Posture.
