Although Elden Ring, at its core, is an incredibly robust single-player adventure, it does pack in a pretty interesting and entertaining multiplayer mechanic. The ability for players to summon cooperators along the way to aid them in their journey gives an extra bit of help to those that may be struggling in a particularly difficult area. But it also gives players that enjoy competition and the idea of invasions a chance to flex their skills against groups of enemies by making their way into their game world.

It provides a solid balance and although there are some out there that may be miffed by the multiplayer mechanic in terms of PvP, there are others that thrive on the mode and play it for hours upon hours, long after the single-player credits have finished rolling. Finding the Unseen Blade requires players to first find and unlock a puzzle, which is a bit more difficult than the other brainteasers in Elden Ring as the area that players must unlock is completely hidden. Not hidden behind an illusionary wall, or down a dark pathway, but actually hidden, as in it's completely invisible when players first come across it.
