One of the biggest departures that Elden Ring makes from the classic Soulslike formula is its massively expanded crafting system. Players will constantly collect materials as they venture through the Lands Between, and can combine them into all kinds of useful buffs and consumables.
One of the most impactful, though short-lived, consumables in Elden Ring is Exalted Flesh. For 30 seconds after consuming Exalted Flesh, players will receive a 20% physical damage boost. This can be huge at a critical moment in a boss fight, allowing players to maximize their openings. The buff also stacks multiplicatively, meaning that other damage bonuses will increase it in turn.

Although it is possible to loot Exalted Flesh in Elden Ring's Lands Between, it isn't a sustainable method of acquiring the consumable. Instead, most players will want to craft as much Exalted Flesh as they need.
To get started crafting, players will first have to buy the Armorer's Cookbook (3) from the Nomadic Merchant in East Limgrave, just to the south of the Mistwood Minor Erdtree. This will unlock the following recipe for Exalted Flesh:

Of the four ingredients in Exalted Flesh, Rowa Fruit is the simplest to acquire, and players can find the easily-recognizable glowing red berry bushes all across the Lands Between.
