We finally know that Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is just a few months away, having gotten a release date earlier this week alongside a nifty gameplay trailer. After release, Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki gave us a bunch of new information from a few different interviews, including the confirmation that the DLC will be accessed via Miquella's withered hand, as players had been speculating for months.
Miquella's body can be found in the boss arena in which you fight Mohg, Lord of Blood, and players will have to make sure they've killed Mohg (and Radahn for some reason) before they can access The Land of Shadows. Of course, not everyone will have a save in which Mohg is still alive, so another user called Iexsistright suggests that everyone who has already slayed the boss should place their summon signs at the entrance of the arena, and help others who may be struggling to take him down by themselves. Other fans are giving out tips, such as not to take on the challenge in New Game Plus as it can be brutal, and to potentially start a new character, so you're not too rusty when the DLC does drop.
With well over 6,000 upvotes and hundreds of other players dedicated to the cause, it feels like an idea that could actually pick up steam. It's very on-brand for the Elden Ring and Souls community at large to set up something like this, so
