A new combat system in ’s DLC will likely change how players approach difficult challenges with bosses and mini-bosses in the additional content for the game. Now, more information has been uncovered with the DLC’s gameplay reveal trailer.
With the video, players could get a glimpse of some of the new enemies from the Land of Shadow, an exclusive map for. There have also been lore hints, such as the identity of Messmer in the DLC, who may be related to Miquella. Other than the information provided by the trailer, multiple interviews with the game director, Hidetaka Miyazaki, have been shared. The developer has revealed more details about the upcoming expansion, such as the size of the map and even what may be a significant and permanent change to the combat system.
According to Miyazaki in an interview with the Japanese outlet , which was translated and posted by the user TheAngryFurlong on Reddit, the DLC will have something of a power system, much like that one present in, another of developer FromSoftware’s games. According to the interview granted by Miyazaki, this power system will be independent of the level system in play in the base game and will only be activated within the confines of the DLC’s areas.
