Is Dynasty Warriors finally back? It's certainly starting to look that way, because the recent Dynasty Warriors: Origins demo has been downloaded over 1 million times.
Said demo features a sizeable battle that takes place early on in the game, showcasing the action title's impressive scale and overhauled combat systems. From what we've seen, the demo's been well received by fans of the series — which is a big deal when you remember how badly Dynasty Warriors 9 dropped the ball.
Indeed, franchise enthusiasts have had to wait a long time for Koei Tecmo to recover from the 2018 title, which was panned by critics and many longtime players. By comparison, Dynasty Warriors: Origins feels so much more polished and focused — even in its demo form.
Given the demo's popularity, it's fair to assume that Koei Tecmo's got a hit on its hands, ahead of Origins' 17th January release date on PS5. Here's hoping that the full game lives up to expectations, because the demo really does show a lot of promise.

I guess I’m just over DW games. I’ve not played since part 5 and didn’t enjoy the demo. So many more games to play anyway.
Deleted the demo after 2 or 3 minutes into the gameplay
