The Dragon's Dogma 2 size has been revealed on Xbox Series X as the game's pre-load on Microsoft's console has gone live.
On both Series X and Series S, the highly-anticipated sequel can now be pre-loaded for those who pre-ordered it. Although we haven't been able to confirm the download size on the Series S just yet, we do know that the game weighs in at nearly 70GB on the Series X (69.94GB). This download size was posted on Reddit and through Xbox Era. Quite the decent size, especially compared to the monstrous file sizes of recent Call of Duty installments, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Forza games as well as numerous other Xbox Series titles.
While file sizes generally don't say that much about the actual size of a game when it comes to playtime, the game's map is said to be four times bigger than that of the original game.
Dragon's Dogma is releasing later this month on March 22 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Ahead of the game's global launch, Capcom released a free character creation tool some days ago, allowing players to experiment with their Arisen and main pawn. As covered recently, the game will have an uncapped framerate on both Xbox and PlayStation consoles, and is aiming for "around" 30FPS.
"The game has an uncapped framerate", Game Director Hideaki Itsuno recently confirmed. "We're aiming to go at around or higher than 30 FPS. That is for consoles as well. There are some functions that you can turn on and off, but there aren't multiple sets of options that you can change at once [likely alluding to visual presets seen in the options of other games on consoles today]. But yeah, the frame rate will come uncapped for all consoles."
