Dragon Age: Origins writer David Gaider thinks it's time for a «PS5-era bells and whistles» remaster, presumably with 4K visuals running at 60fps, with haptic integration, and we can't help but agree.
Gaider was musing on Twitter that, given the current appetite for high-quality remasters and remakes from the 2000s (such as the recently released Dead Space and the upcoming Resident Evil 4), it might be time for us to return to the now-classic RPG.
In the replies, Gaider plays down the chances of such a project being greenlit, however, noting that «I suspect EA would only do it if they thought it would sell like *gold-plated* hotcakes. They've… never really gotten DA, or understood why it sold better than Mass Effect, was my impression.»
Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is the next entry in the series, and we haven't had official word on the project in a little while now. Rumour is that the title is still a ways off yet.
What do you think, would you like to see a PS5-style remaster or remake of Dragon Age: Origins? Alistair must be getting lonely after so long. Keep the flame alive in the comments section below.
