Sorry, Metal Gear Solid fans - it looks like Donna Burke isn't working on the rumoured remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and is instead involved in a project that includes the titular song.
It seemed like a big day for the Metal Gear Solid series yesterday. Singer and actor Donna Burke, who has previously sung songs for Peace Walker, The Phantom Pain, and Metal Gear in Concert, shared a tweet that suggested she was working on something new to do with Metal Gear Solid. Eagle-eyed fans then discovered a lyric sheet for Snake Eater, which seemed to back up the long-standing rumours of Konami remaking the third game in the series.

All of those factors combined to make it seem like Burke had just unintentionally leaked her involvement in a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, which made sense considering she's already proven that she can sing the main theme at Metal Gear in Concert, and has been with the series for some time. That's apparently not the case, however, as the director of the project she was teasing, Mason Lieberman, has taken to Twitter to dispel the rumours.
Lieberman said, "Not to rain on anyone's parade, but to avoid misinformation getting out there: We are not working on Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake. We're also not working for Tencent (before THAT conspiracy takes hold!). Yes, we're working on Snake Eater. Yes, it sounds incredible". Lieberman also changed his Twitter name to "ffs it's not MGS3", just to make sure the message got across.
It's not just Lieberman dispelling the rumours, either. Donna Burke also tweeted about the situation, confirming that she was recording Snake Eater, but that it's not for a remake and has nothing to do with
