Donna Burke, singer and voice actress for Metal Gear Solid 3, recently posted a tweet which was labelled “recording in progress,” and she can be seen holding a a laminate with Snake Eater on the front. As rumours of Metal Gear remakes have been swirling for quite a while the internet concluded that she was working on a remake of the game.

Except she is not. Composer Mason Lieberman, who is working with Ms. Burke, has flatly denied they are working on the remake. He has confirmed they are working on the Snake Easter soundtrack, but for reasons that have yet to be revealed. It could be that Konami (or someone else) are putting together some sort of audio release, perhaps a collectors edition vinyl.
Not to rain on anyone's parade, but to avoid misinformation getting out there: We are not working on Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake ???? We're also not working for Tencent (before THAT conspiracy takes hold!).

In January this year Quinton Flynn, the voice of Raiden in the Metal Gear Solid series, seemingly teased a new Metal Gear announcement. In response to a fan suggestion that there would be a reveal he tweeted “Stayed tuned for things to be announced in the coming weeks“. We’re quite a way in to 2023 now so whatever he was teasing has clearly been delayed, and once again we should point out he does not specifically mention games.
