Tech writer John Gruber, who runs the Daring Fireball blog says, “Apps in the background are effectively “frozen”, severely limiting what they can do in the background and freeing up the RAM they were using."
Still, closing an app on your iPhone becomes essential in case it won’t respond or seems frozen. So, here is how iPhone 13, iPhone 12, and other iPhone users should close an app in case it is unresponsive.
If you are having an iPhone X, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 or iPhone 13, then simply swipe up from the bottom of the home screen. You need to pause in the middle of the screen.
Then swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close and swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.
