How to create your own iPhone ringtone?
According to Apple Insider, there are multiple ways to create your iPhone ringtone and that too for free. And the first method is Wired Syncing for which you’ll have to clip down a DRM-free MP3. On Mac, you can do it via GarageBand that comes with the various settings and instruments. You can clip down a song for up to 30 seconds or less. If you have a non-DRM MP3 file then also you can import it to GarageBand and create your own track. Once you clip the track via GarageBand on Mac here’s how you can turn it into iPhone’s ringtone:
Once you create the composition, tap on Share and then Export it to Disk.
Name the tone and set the save location as appropriate on the desktop. Ensure that it is set to AAC, and click Export.
Now , right-click the clipped track and rename it by changing the suffix from .m4a to .m4r.
Next, connect your iPhone to your Mac via a Lightning-to-USB cable and open Finder to select the iPhone.
Drag the ringtone file to the Finder window and it will be transferred to the iPhone.
Now just open Settings, select Sound & Haptics and click on Ringtone to select your new custom ringtone.
