Amongst other favorites, like Pikachu, Charizard, and Lucario, it isn't hard to find a fan of the Pokémon franchise whose favorite collectible creature is Vaporeon — everyone knows someone, and if they don't, it's probably because they're the one. Pokémon are all meant to be appealing and marketable in some way, and particular ones, such as starters and Legendaries, are even meant to stand out above others. But Vaporeon is neither a starter nor a Legendary, nor does it play any other particularly central role anywhere in Pokémon media.
