As Thor returns to the big screen for the first time in the MCU Phase 4, it might be expected that Thor: Love and Thunder will have at least one post-credits scene. Thor: Love and Thunder marks a first for the MCU with Thor being the only hero so far to lead four solo outings. While past solo films might have only included the main hero and one or two accomplices, Thor: Love and Thunder features a guest appearance from the Guardians of the Galaxy as well as several Asgardian heroes and a court of gods.
Ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe was born in 2008 with Iron Man, the MCU’s post-credits scenes have come to define the franchise. Movies and MCU Disney+ TV series alike have come to have additional scenes in their end credits designed to set up the next installment of the wider story and to tease fans. There are a few exceptions to this, such as the final moments of Avengers: Endgame’s credits which paid an auditory homage to Iron Man, or some scenes that have served as meta-jokes about Marvel’s post-credit scenes traditions.

For regular views of MCU content, it will come as no surprise that Thor: Love and Thunder has a post-credits scene. In fact, Thor: Love and Thunder has two post-credits scenes, one fairly early on, and then one much later in the sequence.
