A watch list created by Disney+ for Obi-Wan Kenobi includes key arcs of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The latest live-action Star Wars series is set to follow the titular Jedi (with Ewan McGregor returning to the role) midway through his exile on Tatooine as he watches over the young Luke Skywalker. Pursuing him will be Hayden Christensen's Darth Vader and his ruthless team of Sith Inquisitors, who will seemingly stop at nothing until they have their prize.
Obi-Wan's last canon appearance in Star Wars was in the animated Clone Wars season 7, which released in early 2020. The series has been a favorite amongst viewers, with its final season in particular gaining critical acclaim. The series began in 2008 and covers much of the time period between Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith. Many characters from Clone Wars have since gone on to debut in live action, such as Bo-Katan Kryze and Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian, as well as Cad Bane in The Book of Boba Fett. For her part, Duchess Satine Kryze of Mandalore was once the love interest of Obi-Wan, who he even said he would have left the Jedi Order for. Satine's tragic death almost sent Obi-Wan to the Dark Side, something he was able to resist after fighting for composure.
