Disney outlines an official Star Wars TV plan in a new magazine article. When the Mouse House acquired Lucasfilm back in 2012, they immediately began work on a fresh Star Wars movie slate, producing the Skywalker saga's sequel trilogy and two spinoff features. Following the release of 2019's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Disney put the Star Wars films on hiatus and have shifted gears to television.
