Diablo IV ’s beta weekends are coming soon, and Blizzard has announced a slew of new details, including what to expect, and special rewards–including an unexpectedly adorable cosmetic. The PC specs have also been revealed, and the team announced an upcoming community stream during open beta.
It is now March, and the Diablo IV open beta weekends are coming this month. The first one, from March 17-20th, will be an Early Access beta weekend available for those who have preordered the game on any platform. The second, from March 24-27th, will be open beta for all. If you play in the Early Access beta, you can return for the second weekend if you have any unfinished business.
The team held a new livestream to answer community questions as well, on the way to beta.
As previously revealed, you’ll be able to level up to level 25 during beta. Three classes will be available during the first weekend–Barbarian, Sorcerer, and Rogue–with Necromancer and Druid joining them during the open beta weekend.
If you are playing on console, you can also play couch co-op during Early Access. If you want to try out four player co-op, all players will have to have Early Access eligible accounts.
During both of these weekends, there will be a world boss to join together to defeat, with loot drops, of course. Speaking of rewards, there are three beta-specific rewards you can take with you into the full release.
Both minimum and recommended PC specs are out, with both categories requiring Windows 10 64-bit and DirectX 12 support. The cards and RAM vary, which is no surprise. Blizzard notes that below minimum specs won’t stop the game from running, but there may be a “significantly diminished” gameplay experience.
