Diablo 4 Nerfs Inbound Including Nerfs to ‘Billion Damage’ Shred Druids

Diablo 4 nerfs are likely inbound as Blizzard has confirmed that it's looking into nerfing classes, including the 'billion damage' shred Druid.

We've seen various class and skill buffs as well as nerfs since the release of Diablo 4 last month. Last week, Blizzard temporarily nerfed Necromancers, while the team is looking to rework the Legendary Aspect during Season 1.

Recently, it was revealed that several classes, including Barbarians and Druids, are dealing tons (if not billions) of "unintentional" damage. In a statement issued to PC Gamer yesterday, Blizzard confirmed that the team is looking into changing the damage output soon to improve balance. "This behavior is unintentional," a Blizzard rep told PC Gamer. "The team is looking at changing it in the near future in order to improve the balance.". Blizzard hasn't clarified when these changes will be implemented, but as mentioned by Game Director Joe Shely in a new interview with Forbes yesterday, these changes might come soon than expected. We've included a tidbit from the interview with Shely below, via Forbes:

Unlike the past mid-season patch which was 99% buffs, there will indeed be nerfs coming with the seasonal start here. Shely didn’t get into specifics but gave a familiar “we have to nerf some things some times we can’t always buff all other things” answer that most games like this have to address at some point.
