With Microsoft’s impending acquisition of Activision Blizzard, it seemed like a no-brainer to many that the latter’s games would end up coming to PC and Xbox Game Pass. Activision, however, has revealed that there are no plans to bring Activision or Blizzard games to Game Pass in 2023.
Taking to social media platform X, Activision Blizzard stated that it expects to start bringing its titles to the subscription service some time in the next year. The company states that it doesn’t plan on bringing the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, or Diablo 4 to the service just yet.
The acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft is slated to be finalised this week, according to a report from last week. The company is reportedly eyeing October 13 as the date to announce the completion of the acquisition, which is going to cost Microsoft $69 billion.
The acquisition has been under quite a bit of scrutiny from various regulatory bodies from all over the world. The regulatory bodies have, however, ultimately approved of the acquisition.
