Destiny 2 is Bungie's ongoing success story and players have been left impressed as well as dismayed by updates and changes upcoming in Lightfall, since there are some major changes expected, while the previous season was widely greeted as a dramatic and memorable end.
However, while eager Destiny 2 players have been preloading Lightfall in order to jump into it as soon as it drops, there have been issues surrounding this. Some regions have been seeing the Lightfall preload being pushed out early while players have been experiencing trouble getting into Destiny 2 period. As such Bungie has been recommending that players pause the Lightfall download until February 27, 9am PST so that players can still continue to play the live game.

But players have still been facing issues, especially those on PlayStation 5. Today, Bungie issued some instructions for these players on its official Bungie Help Twitter page. The instructions are as follows:
It recommends PS5 players to uninstall the game, and to reinstall the PS5 version in order to continue playing Destiny 2. For those wondering what is exactly going on, the situation is that those who have pre-installed Lightfall will be locked out of Destiny 2 in general until Lightfall goes live. This means you won't be able to play the game at all. But for those who still want to play until servers go offline on Monday (tomorrow), you will need to uninstall and reinstall the game.
The problem appears to be affecting PlayStation 5 players, while Xbox Series owners seem to be unaffected. Those on PS4 don't seem to have the issue either. Meanwhile, those who can wait a bit, all should be okay (touch wood; fingers crossed) come Tuesday
