Last November, the first new members of The Walking Dead universe were announced with actors Clémence Poésy (The Essex Serpent) and Adam Nagaitis (Chernobyl) joining Norman Reedus' Daryl Dixon in his spin-off series. Now, that crew grows even larger with five new members.
Deadline is reporting that Anne Charrier (The Last Deadly Mission), Eriq Ebanouey (Fox Hunt), Laika Blanc Francard (My Night), Romain Levi (The Tunnel), and newcomer Louis Puech Scigliuzzi are set as series regulars opposite Reedus on The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
Filming is currently underway in France, with a premiere set for later this year on AMC and AMC+. Nothing is known about the new characters aside from their names. Charrier will play Genet, Ebanouey portrays Fallou, Francard plays Sylvie, Levi will portray Codron, and Scigliuzzi plays Laurent.
In this spin-off, Dixon finds himself in France by unknown means. As he pieces together how he got there and why the series will show his journey across a decimated France as he finds a way back home. In typical Walking Dead fashion though, nothing goes according to plan.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is another spin-off from the main Walking Dead series, joining Fear The Walking Dead, Walking Dead: The World Beyond, and the most recent Tales of the Walking Dead. There are also two additional new spinoffs in the works featuring established characters.
The New York-set The Walking Dead: Dead City stars Lauren Cohan and Jeffery Dean Morgan reprising their Maggie and Negan characters, respectively. The other is about Rick and Michonne played again by Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira.
