Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is the sequel to the Naruto series, written by Masashi Kishimoto. In an announcement on Viz Media's official Twitter account, it was confirmed that Boruto Part I is set to air its final episode on March 26. The anime entered the Code arc on February 12 and will likely end on a cliffhanger. According to the announcement, Part II of the anime has already been given the green light. There have been no further updates as to why the anime is taking a break, but it may be connected to the harsh criticism the series has received.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations was originally written by Ukyo Kodachi, with Masashi Kishimoto as the editorial supervisor for the project. In November 2020, Kishimoto took over as Kodachi stepped down from his role. The manga started serialization in the Weekly Shonen Magazine in May 2016. It was transferred to the V Jump in 2019. The manga has a total of 19 volumes, and the number will only continue to increase, barring any unexpected breaks. The manga is also released monthly on the Shonen Jump app.
