's 2.0 patch improves a lot about how weapons work, and with the right set of Perks, the combat plays even better. In fact, Cyberpunk 2.0 changes a lot of things, even outside the DLC. It greatly alters many of the game's most basic functions, with a new and improved system of Skills and Perk trees. Cyberware is greatly improved to make character customization even more interesting. Combat has been expanded with vehicular battles, better AI, and a new system for crime and punishment. And that doesn't even crack the surface of the new weapons, vehicles, and characters added in the DLC.
But still, it's not necessary to buy to appreciate the changes to the base game, both big and small. While shiny new gear, cars, and outfits are nice, sometimes it's the most seemingly minor changes that make the most difference. That's just the case with 2.0's weapon revamp: almost invisible at first, but with surprising depth that demands attention and adaptive play. And it can completely game-changing once it takes effect.

's entire combat system is greatly improved by changes to the Stamina system in the 2.0 update. In the original release of, Stamina worked much the same as it does in every other, run-of-the-mill first-person shooter RPG. There was a Stamina bar displayed in the corner of the screen. Running, jumping, dashing, and dodging would deplete it, and once depleted, V would have to wait for it to fill back up before doing any of the above again. Stamina could be quickly restored with the use of certain consumables, or its maximum value and natural restoration rate could be raised with certain Perks and Cyberware.
