CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Phantom Liberty, the big expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, will be returning to the stage this summer — in June, to be more specific. We've heard next to nothing about the DLC since its reveal all the way back in September 2022, so we assume this'll be a pretty substantial blowout… probably alongside a release date. Just to reiterate, Phantom Liberty is still down for a 2023 launch.
It's also possible that this info drop will be part of this year's Summer Game Fest, or some other showcase in June. We'll have to wait and see.
Now then, let's just hope and pray that Phantom Liberty doesn't actually release in June. With Street Fighter 6, Diablo 4, and Final Fantasy XVI all launching within weeks of one another, another major release in that timeframe would be total overkill. In any case, the summer months are shaping up to be extremely busy.
