A new Cyberpunk 2077 stunning lighting mod that is now available for download promises to bring the game's visuals to new heights, attempting to emulate a real cinema camera.
The Luum cinematic lighting mod, which can now be downloaded from Nexus Mods, uses real-world film techniques to simulate an ARRI Alexa 35 camera when used together with Realcolorr. The mod features, among other things, weather probability rebalances, tweaked film grain, enhanced chromatic aberration, subtle bloom, and more. While this new Cyberpunk 2077 mod does have some issues, such as the image being too bright when moving away from dark areas, it's already looking impressive, as showcased by the screenshots below.
Even without mods like this stunning Luum, Cyberpunk 2077 is already one of the best-looking games released in the past few years. Last month, an update introduced ray tracing overdrive mode, which implements path tracing for superior ray tracing quality. Path tracing is so demanding that even the powerful RTX 4090 GPU needs the help of NVIDIA DLSS to run Cyberpunk 2077 in Overdrive mode at decent performance.
While Overdrive mode is only available in the PC version of the game, soon enough Cyberpunk 2077 players on current generation consoles and PC will be able to enjoy some brand new content thanks to the Phantom Liberty expansion, which will be released later this year. More information on it is coming next month, so it won't take much longer to see what is coming to the dangerous streets of Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One worldwide.
