Tim Curry's horrific Criminal Minds character Billy Flynn (AKA «The Prince Of Darkness») is based on real-life killer Richard Ramirez. Criminal Minds featured some truly twisted killers during its fifteen-season run. C.Thomas Howell's George Foyet (AKA The Reaper) — who was loosely based on the Zodiac Killer — was one of the most notorious, even murdering the wife of BAU's Agent Aaron Hotchner before he was finally stopped. Other chilling «unsubs» include Mr. Scratch, Brad Dourif of Child's Play fame as Adam Rain or James Van Der Beek as Tobias Hankel.
Maybe one of Criminal Minds' most purely disturbing killers was Billy Flynn, known as the «Prince Of Darkness.» Tim Curry is, of course, no stranger to villain roles, from Home Alone 2's nasty concierge Mr. Hector to the actual Lord Of Darkness in Legend, but Criminal Minds' Flynn is one of the hardest to shake off. Flynn's backstory is that he was abused by his sex worker mother — and occasionally by her clients — when he was young, and eventually killed her. The feeling of power this gave Flynn stayed with him, and he eventually developed a pattern of breaking into homes during blackouts, assaulting and murdering families but always leaving young children behind as survivors who will be left scarred from watching their loved ones killed.
