Controller works on home screen but nothing else!! - Help & Troubleshooting Forum - Page 1
Hi all
No idea why, but my controller works fine in letting me select an app, but literally anything once I go on anything, netflix, prime, Disney, even the app store itself, I can't get past the main page of these. None of the buttons are responsive at all. I can press the ps button to take me back to the home page where, again, I can move and select things but absolutely no response to any app itself. Has this happened to anyone before, any thoughts? These days I only use the ps4 for streaming so at the moment it isn't fit for purpose! Thanks in advance.

Try some of the suggestions here, it could certainly be that one of the buttons is faulty and partly “on”, especially the R2 and L2 buttons. Anyway, plenty of things to try out I think.
