A new high-quality texture pack was shared online this week for Final Fantasy VII Remake Integrade, improving the looks of Tifa Lockhart considerably with 8K resolution textures that finally do the character's design justice.
The Tifa Hyper HD Texture Pack, which can be downloaded right now on Nexus Mods, remasters the character's standard outfit textures in 8K resolution and fixes a small issue regarding her earring color in the vanilla game. As the texture pack doesn't use any mesh data, it is compatible with other mesh models that don't feature custom textures. You can check out how much the Hyper HD Texture Pack improves the character's textures over the vanilla game and another HD texture pack in the video below.
The Final Fantasy VII Remake project is definitely one of the most ambitious projects ever from Square Enix. The entire series, which aims to remake the entirety of the original PlayStation 1 RPG with three different entries, features not only a massive visual overhaul but also some story changes that are still considered controversial almost three years after the first entry's release on PlayStation 4. Despite the changes, Final Fantasy series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi feels that the remake is being made with the same spirit that led to the creation of the original, so it will be very interesting to see if what all the changes that will be made in Rebirth and the yet-to-be-named third entry in the series will amount to.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available on PlayStation 4, while the updated Intergrade version is now available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The second entry in the remake series, Rebirth, will launch sometime during Winter 2023 on PlayStation 5.
