This week's PTR update includes the Ensemble: Temporal Burdens, indicating that Dragonflight Patch 10.1.7 will allow players to collect the Chromie's Timespun Shoulderpads and Morchie's Timeworn Shoulderpads, two versions of the unique hourglass shoulder armor used by Chromie's evil twin Morchie! Chromie's version has brighter metal, while Morchie's more tarnished armor features blue sand. While the ensemble describes the shoulders as being used by both Chromie and Morchie, it's interesting that we never actually see Chromie wearing them.
Instead, her version is a recolor of the armor used by Morchie within the Dawn of the Infinite mega-dungeon, while the actual set used by Chromie in-game is much less ostentatious than that of her alter-ego. Chromie's in-game shoulders are nice but fairly basic, not exactly what you might consider an «emblem of the bronze dragonflight.» Unfortunately, there's still no information on exactly how this ensemble will be obtained.
We first datamined these shoulder pieces several weeks ago, alongside the Class Armor Sets that are now confirmed to appear in the Trading Post starting in September, so it's likely that this ensemble will similarly find its way into the Trading Post, though there's also a possibility it could be some kind of reward for completing the Dawn of the Infinite Heroic split dungeons coming in Patch 10.1.7. Chromie's coloration of the hourglass shoulders, as seen on our Wowhead dummy!
