A new update is live in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, and the patch notes detail a few bug fixes and major weapon balancing for some overpowered weapons, including the Akimbo Snakeshot Basilisk.
The Basilisk, FTAC Siege, and X13 Auto pistols have all held a reign of terror in Warzone and multiplayer, but the July 24 patch notes confirm nerfs for all three handguns. The Akimbo Snakeshot variant of the Basilisk has been deleting players in battle royale, but the developer says it fixed an issue that caused the akimbo version to have a higher damage profile than intended. The FTAC Siege and the X13 Auto pistols both received a nerf to the maximum damage, and an issue was also corrected that caused the X13 Auto's damage profile to be too high.

Another major nerf is to Season 4's new MX Guardian shotgun. The weapon now has decreased maximum damage, close-mid damage, mid damage, mid-far damage, and its minimum damage. The 12 Gauge Dragon's Breath ammunition type was also nerfed for both the MX Guardian and the KV Broadside shotgun.
Call of Duty's crossover with The Boys lets players use Temp V-inspired superpowers in Warzone, but the new update addresses an issue that previously caused players to have infinite superpowered jumps by using a second Temp V field upgrade.
Additionally, the update fixes an issue where snipers rifles with high explosive ammo
