Season 5 has arrived to Call of Duty, bringing a new battle pass, more maps, and new weapons.

Season 5 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone goes live today, bringing a new battle pass to level up, more DLC weapons to unlock, and new maps. Activision has revealed the full patch notes for the big update, which include a seasonal event, a hip hop celebration, and changes to movement and Al Mazrah battle royale matches. Here is everything changing with Season 5.

The new season includes a Factions Showdown event that goes live on August 4. Players can choose either Task Force 141 or Shadow Company, and the Faction with the most eliminations at the end of the event wins. However, players can switch Factions at any time during the event. There are also five challenges for each Faction to unlock a mastery reward, and completing all challenges for the winning Faction earns additional rewards.

The big update also includes the previously announced hip hop celebration with shop bundles arriving for Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, and 21 Savage. There are also free hip hop War Tracks as well.
