DC's Catwoman has always been a character with a backstory shrouded in mystery, but an upcoming one-shot special is promising that her next heist is going to be her most personal. For years, Selina Kyle has been one of the most mysterious enemies and allies of the Dark Knight. Her origin story has shifted from time to time, with the most well-known being that she was once a flight attendant that got amnesia after a severe blow to the head. Still, she's since gone through multiple reboots that have changed her story in multiple comics, films and other mediums.
In a new series of one-shot comics titled Batman: One Bad Day, eight villains from Batman's rogues gallery will be put under a microscope and given a story of their own to have a deeper look at their characters. Some of the confirmed villains that will get a story in the series will include iconic villains such as The Riddler, Mr. Freeze, The Penguin, and Clayface. The one character that stood out though was Catwoman as she has become much more of an anti-hero in recent years. Looking at the details of what her story would entail, it sets up a very promising premise.

This new Catwoman story by G. Willow Wilson and Jamie McElvie will focus on Selina as she embarks on a new heist. What's the score? It's a valuable item connected to her past. According to a Tweet from DC Comics' official Batman account, the story will begin when "a brooch Selina Kyle's mother one pawned for pennies is now part of a high-bid auction, and Catwoman will steal it back at any cost."
