The two launch maps for Zombies, Liberty Falls and Terminus, have been received very well by veterans and newcomers to the game mode alike. As was launched day-one on Xbox Game Pass, many players will have had their first experience of the round-based undead wave shooter, and both maps have been acclaimed as a return-to-form for fans. One way in which Liberty Falls demonstrates its success is through its many Easter Eggs and hidden secrets.
The Zombies game mode is historically known for its elaborate Easter Eggs, including entire questlines, hidden weapons, power-ups, songs, and other smaller secrets. The launch maps take heavy inspiration from many of the series greats, like Der Eisendrache, Origins, and Mob of the Dead, by featuring all of these hidden extras, with at least 25 known secrets in Liberty Falls. From the currently known information, 10 of the best Easter Eggs can be noted from this map, based on complexity, enjoyability of completion, peculiarity, and the rewards provided.
In the opening area of Liberty Falls, players can locate an ordinary vending machine that seems unremarkable at first glance. However, hitting the opening of the machine with a melee attack will produce a randomly generated reward. Some of its outgoings are useless, such as non-interactable chip packets, or even lethal active grenades, but players can expect to pick up some points, salvage, and ammo. Players have even reported receiving high quality loot like Perk-A-Colas and Wonder Weapons like the Ray Gun.
While the rewards from this Easter Egg have the potential to be incredible,it's a very simple one to perform and requires a button press to activate it. It is far more likely that players receive a low-quality reward, but as rewards can be provided at least once a round, Zombies enthusiasts are recommended to visit it often.
This Easter Egg is slightly more elaborate than the Vending Machine, requiring players to have three Semtex grenades that are tossed into a swimming pool
