Being based on, it stands to reason that would work well as a tabletop game, which makes these new official miniatures an essential purchase for fans. Wizards of the Coast hasn't shied away from Larian Studios' RPG being part of official canon, going so far as to hint that some members of Tav's party could return in future products. While there's no known project that includes the likes of Wyll and Karlach, creative Dungeon Masters can use miniatures to weave their own stories.
Per the WizKids shop, fans can now purchase an «Icons of the Realms» set dedicated to and the actual miniatures are fairly impressive.
Each figure comes pre-painted and the entire collection features every character one might need to continue Larian's narrative: Astarion, Shadowheart, Karlach, Laezel, Wyll, Gale, and even Withers are included in the box. The product is currently available for pre-order and can be purchased for $49.99, which is certainly steep but given the amount of detail included in each of these miniatures, the cost could be justified by diehard enthusiasts.
Wizards of the Coast has already promised more stories featuring characters and these miniatures are a great first step. Selling an entire Icons of the Realms box solidifies the heroes as a part of ' constantly expanding lore, further reinforcing the publisher's commitment to keeping them alive. Miniatures are only really designed to help players envision a character or picture a battlefield, but in this case, there could be something more at play.
This is pure speculation, but it could be the case that Wizards of the Coast may be close to releasing an official adventure dedicated to 's cast. The launch of the Icons of the Realms set could help facilitate a module dedicated to furthering the story of Tav's party, providing players with a more immersive experience. Only time will tell if that's the case but it's not hard to imagine more products dropping soon.
