Behind-the-scenes images from The Book of Boba Fett give fans a closer look at Cad Bane's costume in the Disney+ series. Star Wars' live-action television shows have done a near-incomprehensible job at adhering to canon and incorporating characters from animated entries like Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Rebels. For example, The Mandalorian sees Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu cross paths with Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) and Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson). The season 2 finale sets up the spin-off The Book of Boba Fett—the vehicle for Bane's jump from animation to live-action.
Boba Fett's (Temuera Morrison) series follows the iconic bounty hunter as he seizes control of Jabba the Hutt's old territories, combats the Pyke Syndicate, and becomes the new crime lord of Tatooine. In the Dave Filoni-directed «Chapter 6: From the Desert Comes a Stranger,» audiences reunite with Freetown Mashal, Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant), who has been having some trouble with the Syndicate's spice runners. After Djarin visits Luke Skywalker and Grogu, he returns to Taootine and asks Vanth to help Fett and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) in their war with the Pykes. Not long after Djarin leaves, Bane (Corey Burton and Dorian Kingi), who has been hired by the Syndicate, makes his live-action debut.
