Rudel Inc. just kicked off the launch of Blue Lock Project: World Champion on Android. It’s a soccer sim game inspired by the popular anime Blue Lock. If you were one of those players who jumped in during the pre-registration phase, get ready for the awesome in-game goodies waiting for you.
In this game, you get to build your ultimate squad of strikers straight out of the pages of Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura’s manga. You get to dive into Training mode for a fresh storyline where you can bond with your players.
It was first released in Japan in January 2023 and quickly became the most downloaded app there for the first half of the year. Reportedly, it raked in over US$100 million in earnings by January. The pre-registrations for the global version of Blue Lock PWC began in February 2024.
Blue Lock Project: World Champion is about a bunch of high school soccer players aiming for a spot on the Japanese national team. You step into the ‘boots’ of protagonist Isagi, who’s hustling each moment to outwit rivals and join teammates for the win.
Gameplay-wise, Blue Lock PWC has made it easy to start fresh if you want to reroll for the best characters. And if you signed up early, you’re in for a treat. You can snag a 3-star Yoichi Isagi along with some other goodies like Blue Gems, Natto, Salad, Gyoza and more.
So, if you’re a soccer, anime or Japanese game fan, go ahead and grab the global version from the Google Play Store. Opting for the free-to-play route? Then aim for Reo, Raichi, Zantetsu or Niko to keep up with the competition.
